This week, Alan was filmed for local news. East Midlands Today popped over to his studio at Banks Mill to interview him, hearing all about his new studio and talking about his journey since ‘Make it at Market’ aired.
Alan moved into Banks Mill Studios the same day his episode first aired on the 1st December. ‘Make it at Market’ finds amateur crafters from around the UK and with help from industry experts, work to turn their hobbies into serious money and life-changing businesses. Since the show first aired Alan has been working non-stop and has even had to move into a bigger studio to keep up with demand!
Alan is a freehand embroiderer who mainly creates custom pieces of peoples' pets. These range from custom embroidery hoops to garments. He also offers a range of ready-made products such as cards, prints and patches. You can find Alan in Studio 2.3 at Banks Mill, where he will be working away on his sewing machine.
