Natalia Rafi have moved to Banks Mill and are taking over a bigger studio 4.6, where they are working on bespoke engagement rings along with growing their own product lines.
Natalia Rafi is a luxury jewellery brand that defies convention, their eco-conscious products complement the slow fashion movement without compromising on quality. Nat, a jeweller for over 20 years, and Nick an experienced sales and marketing manager came up with the idea whilst traveling Asia in 2014. After years of planning the pair found time to bring their vision to fruition during lockdown. When all of their friends were getting tipsy doing zoom quizzes, Nick and Nat were learning web design, creating products and building their own vision of a contemporary jewellery brand. The budding entrepreneurs graduated from the university of life, no qualifications, just years of on-the-job training and a couple of creative minds.
Nat comments: “Finding a space at Banks Mill was a dream come true for us, we were working from home, had nowhere to meet local clients and no sanctuary to relax after work. Our home is ours again, and our business is thriving in a space where we are surrounded by likeminded people.”
Nat has 20 years' experience working as a goldsmith, a job that turned into a passion, her skills are always progressing with every challenge she faces. Nick used to manage an events business and had some useful IT skills from collage and previous job roles.
They are currently working on bespoke engagement rings along with expanding their own product lines. All of their jewellery is handmade by their head jeweller Nat, using traditional fine jewellery techniques mixed with modern CAD and 3D printing. Bespoke engagement rings usually take six weeks to make once they have finalised the designs.
Their next 12 months are all about perfecting the image, improving the Natalia Rafi website, and continuing to grow brand awareness.
