Fans of Banks Mill residents and makers won’t have to wait until November to visit some of their favourite local creatives. This year many of our residents and affiliate members will be exhibiting their work throughout Derbyshire.
The popular Melbourne and Wirksworth Arts festivals are back this September and promise to showcase some of the best, often local talent. Starting off at the beginning of the month, from the 8th to the 17th of September, the market town of Wirksworth hosts over 150 artists and welcomes thousands of visitors.
During its famous ‘Art Trail’ the town transforms into a huge gallery for the weekend of the 9th & 10th September. Homes, gardens and public spaces throughout the town are opened to artists and makers to exhibit their work. This year you’ll be able to find four of Banks Mills members on Wirksworth's Art Trail, look out for;
Zaza Lewis – Paper and Textile artist
Abbie Sunter – Ceramic Artist
Sarah Skinner – Creative Upholsterer
Stevie Davies – Glass Artist

Once again, homes, gardens and halls open up to accommodate artists of all kinds. Tickets to Melbourne Festival cost £5 (per adult) whilst under 18’s are free.
