In Memory Of...Mark Gordon
This month we got the heart-breaking news that Mark Gordon passed away early on Monday 19th February.
Mark joined the Banks Mill community in 2014, his residency on the top floor lasted for 6 years before moving on to become an Affiliate Member and a welcome, regular contributor to Banks Mill’s Open Studio events. Many of our tenants and members have remarked on how welcoming and friendly Mark was to new members of the Banks Mill community, especially during Open Studios when it was always a pleasure talking to him.
His paintings and prints spanned artistic styles and genres, from walks in picturesque winter landscapes and bold graphic expanses, to scenes of well-to-do women bathed in romantic evening light.
